Turkish Speaker to visit Iran

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Turkish Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek will visit Iran mid February to take part in the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) conference and discuss issues of mutual interest with Iranian officials.

Cicek will arrive in Tehran on February 17 at top of high-ranking parliamentary delegation for a two-day visit. He is scheduled to meet with his Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani on ways for the further expansion of bilateral parliamentary relations.

He will meet with leaders of Islamic states on the sidelines of the meeting as well.

The IPU conference opens on February 14. The first three days of meeting is held at the level of experts and the last two days is held with presence of parliament speakers of Islamic states.
