Iran's economic delegation due in Indonesia today

TEHRAN (FNA)- A delegation of economic activists from Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture is due to arrive in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta on Sunday to explore ways of promoting trade cooperation between the two countries.


Head of Iran's Chamber of Commerce Gholam Hossein Shafiyee said that Iran and Indonesia enjoy many common grounds, adding that the Iranian delegation's trip to Jakarta aims to increase trade level between the two countries, the Islamic republic news agency reported.

He said that trade between Iran and Indonesia is currently at a low level, despite abundant capacities.

The delegation is comprised of representatives from private sector active in different fields, Shafiyee said, adding the Indonesian side has signaled readiness for further economic cooperation and trade.
