President Rouhani raps enemies attempts to impair Geneva deal

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani warned of enemies plots against the Islamic Republic, and said they are attempting to destroy the six-month Joint Plan of Action inked by Tehran and the world powers to lay the groundwork for the full resolution of the Wests decade-old dispute with Iran over its nuclear energy program.

The Islamic Republic faces abundant internal and foreign plots, Rouhani said, addressing high-ranking Intelligence Ministry officials in Tehran on Monday.

You see that as soon as we took a step to interact with the world to decrease the cruel and unjust pressures imposed against the Iranian nation, the enemy started extensive moves to impair this action, he added.

Expressing the pleasure that Iran enjoys a good level of security despite enemies attempts to create insecurity in the country, he said "the Intelligence Ministry acts like the Islamic Republics eyes and it should, thus, present precise analyses and intelligence on the latest developments" to the Iranian officials.

Following the president's remarks, Intelligence Minister Seyed Mahmoud Alawi presented a report on his ministrys latest activities and operations to the president, and said his forces are moving towards establishment of further security and tranquility in the country without creating any hues and cries.
