Parliament to question Zarif on his Israel remarks

TEHRAN, Feb. 4 (MNA) A member of Principalist faction of the Parliament has said representatives will question foreign minister on his remarks about recognizing Israel.
Ghasem Jafari, Bojnords representative to the Parliament told Mehr News Parliament correspondent that foreign minister has reportedly told foreign media in an interview that the fact of recognizing or not recognizing of the Zionist regime was not relevant to the situation.

Zarifs remark are inconsistent with the principles upheld by the system, since Imam Khomeini (RA) believed that the Zionist regime was a malign tumor and the Leader believed it as bastard, he added, and that the Islamic Republic has expended great sums so that the Zionist regime would not be recognized.

Bojnord representative to the Parliament also believed that Zarif was not an authority to voice opinion about the Zionist regime, and that he would not dare to walk on such terrain.

in the past the US officials threatened Iran every six months, but after the new cabinet assumed office, and after Geneva deal, they have threatened Iran every week or every day, Jafari asserted, and that the remarks by the foreign minister contributed to the will of the Parliamentarians to collect signatures for questioning him, however they had been trying not to go on such extremes, so the question plan will be handed to the Board with many signatures.

Parliamentarians had been unanimous to question the foreign minister on his failing to publish the text of Geneva deal before, but the Speaker of the Parliament opposed and thus the question plan was procrastinated.
