95 percent of Iranians living abroad can return with no problems, official

Tehran, Feb 2, IRNA Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular, Parliamentary and Iranian Expatriates Affairs Hassan Qashqavi said almost 95 percent of the Iranians living abroad have no problems for traveling to their homeland.
Talking to IRNA, he said the Foreign Ministry handles the affairs pertaining to the return home of the Iranian citizens living in other countries.

Qashqavi said the committee responsible for the return of the Iranian expatriates is comprised of a number of organizations working in the field.

However, he added, since the Foreign Ministry has embassies or consulate offices in different parts of the globe, the ministry heads the committee as well.

He then condemned the false propaganda of opposition groups and opponent radio stations in the past years which have been trying to spread unfounded and hollow fears among the Iranian expatriates wishing to visit their country.
