Iran, Switzerland trade hit $1.9 billion in 10 months

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Switzerland has been the largest exporter to Iran over the first 10 months of Iranian calendar year (started on March 21), a report by Iran's Customs Organization showed.
The European country has recently suspended its sanctions on Iran on precious metals and petrochemical goods following enforcement of the Geneva deal on January 20. Switzerland has exported 2.6 million tons of goods to Iran worth 1.9 billion dollars.

The country has been the 6th largest trade partner of Iran after the UAE, China, India, South Korea and Turkey.

Suspension of sanctions on Iran could lead to growth of trade between the two sides in coming months. Machinery, brown sugar, complementary medicine, bean, soya bean seed, catheter needles, Cannula needles and metal chairs were the most important Iran's imports from Switzerland.
