TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran won Uzbekistan in the 16th Asian Senior Men's Handball Championship, in the Bahraini capital.


In the match held at the Khalifa Sports City's Hall in Manama, on Friday, Iran defeated Uzbekistan 54-22 in Group A.

Iran will play powerhouse host Bahrain on Sunday.

Group B consists of Qatar, Japan, the UAE, Kuwait, Iraq and Oman.

The top three finishers all get a place in the 2015 IHF World Men's Handball Championship which will be held with the participation of 24 teams in Qatar.
