Tehran, Jan 29, IRNA A relatively strong earthquake, measuring 4.1 degrees on the open-ended Richter scale, jolted suburbs of Chalgard in Charmahal-Bakhtiari Province on Wednesday evening.
According to the report released by the seismography center of Tehran University?s Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 19:18:47 hours local time (15:48 hours GMT) and its epicenter was at 32.56 degrees latitude and 49.99 degrees longitude and in depth of 8 kilometers underground.
The quake-stricken area is on a border area among provinces of Khuzestan, Isfahan and Lurestan.
There is no immediate report on possible casualty or damage.
