IAEA inspectors in Iran to visit Gachin mine

Tehran, Jan 28, IRNA Inspectors of the UN nuclear watchdog arrived here Tuesday morning to visit the Gachin mine in southern Iran, Spokesman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi said.
The three-man group will on Wednesday leave the Iranian capital for Bandar Abbas in Hormuzgan province to inspect the mine in that southern provincial capital city.

The inspection will take place in line with a six-point agreement made between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency officials on November 11, 2013, for further cooperation between the two.

The agreement was signed by Head of the AEOI Ali-Akbar Salehi and the IAEA Director-General Yukiya Amano in Tehran. According to the agreement Iran allowed the IAEA experts to inspect Arak heavy water facility and Gachin mine.

The IAEA inspectors will leave Tehran for Vienna, Austria, on Wednesday night after returning from Bandar Abbas.

Kamalvandi said the IAEA inspections to the Iranian sites were ?organized?, adding, ?in the meantime we will observe their considerations?.
