Italy, Iran to finalize agreement on restoring Bam citadel: diplomat

Kerman, Jan 27, IRNA – Visiting Italian Minister of Tourism and Culture Massimo Bray said here on Monday that Rome and Tehran will cooperate in restoring the historical Bam citadel in this southeastern province.

Bray made the remarks in a meeting with Kerman Governor General Alireza Razm Hosseini.

He noted the two sides have agreed to finalize the agreement on restoratoin of the Bam citadel.

The diplomat stressed that his visit to Kerman province was aimed at visiting the citadel and other tourism attractions in the province.

He reiterated that Iran and Italy enjoy a long lasting and deep-rooted relationship, adding the two countries share several cultural commonalities.
