Iranian MPs ask speaker for details of interim nuclear deal

One hundred and fifty members of the Iranian Parliament have called on parliamentary speaker Ali Larijani to provide MPs with a detailed draft of the Geneva agreement signed by Iran and the 5+1 in November of 2013.
Tasnim website reports that MP Mohammad Soleymani announced that the MPs wrote a letter to the speaker, urging him to take the necessary steps to provide details of the agreement to all parliamentary representatives.

Soleymani stated that the speaker of Parliament, as the head of one of the three branches of government, is informed about the details of the agreement, but the letters 150 signatories believe that this is not sufficient and all MPs should be made aware, especially since all members of the U.S. Congress have been provided with those details.

He stressed that if the agreement is classified, then it should not be published in foreign media.

Soleymani said the MPs do not intend to publicize the agreement; however, they would like all Members of Parliament to have access to it. Iran and the 5+1 reached an interim six-month deal to resolve the nuclear disputes with Iran, with Iran agreeing to suspend certain nuclear activities and the world powers agreeing to ease sanctions in return.
