Iran condemns south Beirut terrorist attack

Tehran, Jan 21, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham on Tuesday condemned a terrorist attack in south Beirut, saying that undoubtedly, terror acts by Takfiri groups and similar moves in Lebanon and region are in line with the Zionist regimeˈs interests.

According to a report by the ministryˈs Public Relations Department, Afkham added that Iran strongly denounces the inhumane terrorist attack in Beirut which left a number of innocent citizens dead and wounded.

She also sympathized with relatives of the victims of the incident.

ˈUndoubtedly, the terror act by the Takfiri groups and similar moves in Lebanon and region are in line with the Zionist regimeˈs objectives and aimed at harming Lebanonˈs national unity and security,ˈ she said.

She further noted that resistant nation of Lebanon and leaders of various parties should remain vigilance against seditions of the enemies of Lebanon and never allow them to make the country insecure.
