Mexican MP says Iran is beyond imagination
Isfahan, Jan 18, IRNA Head of Mexican parliament foreign relations commission Senator Gabriela Cuevas said she has found Iran and its people beyond her imagination.
She added Iran?s attractions along with its progress in all fields have made her surprised.

Senator Cuevas, in a meeting with Isfahan Governor General on Friday afternoon, by appreciating Isfahan?s officials hospitality, said that Iran was not like what she had heard before.

She added that since her entering into Iran she has witnessed many attractions in Iran?s architecture and rich civilization and in addition to all these, Iranians? warm hospitality and kindness have fascinated her.

The Mexican senator expressed desire for expansion of ties between Iran and Mexico and sisterhood between Isfahan with one of Mexican cities.

She expressed hope that more industrialists from both countries work with each other.

Referring to meeting with religious minorities in Iran, Cuevas said that she witnessed peaceful life of followers of different religions and respectful behaviors with them.

Isfahan Governor General Rasoul Zargarpour, for his part, called for expansion of ties between the two countries and said Isfahan is one of the most important provinces of Iran and for many years had been capital of the country.

He called Isfahan as the most industrialized province of the country with more than 10 thousand industrial units.

Zargarpour said that 70 percent of steel and 50 percent of cement and construction industries production is in Isfahan as well as several refineries, power plants and petrochemical plants.

Meanwhile, Isfahan is the center of handicrafts in the country with UNESCO standards.

He expressed hope that Mexican parliamentary delegation visit to Isfahan causes beginning of wide exchanges between the two countries.

In the meeting, heads of Mexican senate foreign relations committee with USA and Europe and immigration affairs as well as human rights were present, too.
