Iraqi ex-PM: Islamic world should confront with danger of Takfiris
Tehran, Jan 17, IRNA Iraq former premier, by referring to great danger of Takfiris for Islamic world, called for confrontation with the threat in the Islamic states.
Speaking in the opening ceremony of the 27th International Islamic Unity Conference here in Tehran, Ibrahim al-Jaafari emphasized importance of Palestine issue for Muslims and said that while Al-Aqsa Mosque is under violent attacks and insults by the Zionists, Muslims are involved in their own domestic conflicts.

He added that dignity, honor and fate of Islamic world are connected with the holy city of Quds.

Referring to tribal problems created in Iraq, Jaafari stressed that Iraq is witnessing challenges and problems and is being threatened by disunity, but religious, tribal and ethnic diversity should not cause disunity in the country.

Jaafari continued that media are trying to introduce terrorist acts in Iraq as a war between Shia and Sunni, but they will fail in this concern.

He called moderation as a main principle and said that the Holy Qoran has underlined it is beneficial for all Muslim societies.

The 27th International Islamic Unity Conference kicked off here on Friday in the presence of President Hassan Rouhani and Iranian officials, scholars and international characters from different Islamic countries as well as representatives from prominent Islamic leaders from Qom and Najaf.

370 foreign scholars from 50 different countreis including Malaysia, Russia, Greece, Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Algeria, Britain, USA, Australia, Uganda, Tunisia, the Nethrelands, Qatar, Yemen, and Egypt have participated in the 3-day conference.
