Nasim—Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif revealed that over a phone call to UN Secretary- General Ban Ki-Moon on Friday night, he has stressed that Tehran is ready to attend the upcoming international talks on the crisis in Syria if it is invited without any preconditions.
He reiterated Tehran’s position that the Syrian crisis should not be resolved through military approaches, urging a diplomatic solution to the issue.
“Peace, security and stability of the region is our concern too,” Zarif added, “and not attending an international conference will not prevent Iran from following its regional responsibilities as well as its interests.”
