TEHRAN, Jan. 15 (MNA) � Australia defeated Iran in Group C of the AFC U-22 Championship at the Royal Police Stadium in Muscat, Oman on Tuesday.


Skapetis scored the only goal of the match in the 56th minute.

Iran drew Japan 3-3 in its opener and will face Kuwait on Thursday.

A total of 16 teams are divided into four groups of four teams. The competitions kicked off on January 11 and will run until January 26.
