Iranian rescue workers save 12 sailors in Persian Gulf

Bushehr, Jan 12, IRNA – Iranian seamen successfully rescued all 12 people aboard a tugboat which had caught fire some 42 miles north of Dayyr Port, Bushehr province, a local official Ali Ebrahimzadeh said Sunday.

As the tugboat carrying coal from Bushehr to Qatar sent messages for help, rescue workers were immediately dispatched, the official said.

Another Iranian tugboat was also sent to the place and saved the boat from drowning, he added.
