TEHRAN (Tasnim) Irans national football team may have a friendly match against Turkey in the next Iranian year (begins on 21 March 2014), Head of Iran's Football Federation Ali Kaffashian said.
As part of the preparation for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Irans football squad will probably have a friendly match with Turkeys national team within the next few months.

According to Kaffashian, the preparatory game will be possibly held during the national teams camp in Europe.

Team Melli (Irans national football team) is scheduled to start its first camp in South Africa within the last week of April 2014.

Thereafter, Team Melli will have a camp in Europe where it is expected to play three more matches.

Eventually, Team Melli will travel to Brazil and will play its final preparation match against a South American team.

Iran has been grouped along with Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Nigeria in Group F of the 2014 World Cup.

The Iranian World Cup squad will play their opening game against Nigeria on June 16 in Curitiba, Brazil.
