Constructive engagement with world

Tehran, Jan 8, IRNA - Irans presence at the World Economic Forum 2014 shows the decisiveness of the Islamic Republic?s new government, headed by President Hassan Rouhani, to engage constructively with the international community to help improve the state of the world.

Mr. Rouhanis well-timed decision to participate in the annual event in January in Davos, Switzerland comes at a time when the world has to address some of its most pressing problems: the crisis in Syria has put the whole region on the brink of an all-out war, while the war-ravaged Middle East nation is increasingly becoming a safe haven for terrorists, and big powers are using economy as a leverage to maintain their own dominance over ever larger portions of the world, while they feel free to deprive nations of their certain rights, including their right to have their say.

As a veteran Islamic Republic politician, the 11th Iranian head of state knows very well that it is his governments vital role in addressing international issues.

Businessmen, politicians, academics and other society leaders attending this years World Economic Forum, are going to know that the Islamic Republic has its own international agenda of peace and justice which are fruits of an Islamic doctrine.

Since its inception in 1971 and its later enhancement in 1987, the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland has tried to provide a platform for resolving international conflicts.

As the cradle of civilization, Iran has always delivered a message of peace. This time again an Iranian leader is going to do the job in order to indicate the Islamic Republics earnest bid to end global conflicts and promote justice.

It is a tough job but for a man whose message on a world against violence and extremism has already been endorsed by the world, sure enough it is achievable.
