Ankara, Jan 7, IRNA Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglutalked on phone on Tuesday with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif on latest developments in Iraq, events in its Anbar province in particular.
According to diplomatic sources here, Davutoglu also had a separate phone conversation on the issue with his Iraqi counterpart Osama al-Nujaifi.
Reports over the weekend indicated that Anbar city of Fallujah fell to Al Qaeda-linked extremists. Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki urged residents to expel the militants, possibly signaling an imminent military move by Baghdad to retake the city.
