State sponsors of Takfiri terrorism to pay for actions: Iran Cmdr.

Deputy Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces Brigadier General Mohammad Hejazi has warned the state sponsors of Takfiri terrorism of the consequences of their actions.
In a Monday interview, Hejazi expressed regret over the deaths of innocent people at the hand of Takfiri terrorists in some regional countries, adding, The country backing Takfiri and Salafi groups will suffer the consequences of this support.

The Iranian commander said these terrorist acts are the result of the lack of prudence of some regional rulers and will backfire.

While Lebanon and Syria have been the scenes of deadly string of bomb attacks by al-Qaeda-linked terrorist networks, the Iraqi cities of Fallujah and Ramadi in Anbar Province have also been witnessing deadly clashes between security forces and Takfiri militants over the past days.

Iran has repeatedly called for a global front against the rising wave of extremism, particularly across the Middle East.

On December 18, the General Assembly overwhelmingly voted to approve President Hassan Rouhanis World Against Violence and Extremism (WAVE) proposal, which calls on all nations across the globe to denounce violence and extremism.

The Iranian president made the proposal in his address to the UN Disarmament Conference in New York on September 25.
