TEHRAN, Jan. 6 (MNA) � The deputy-head of Christian Democratic Union faction in the Bundestag has said Geneva deal provides an opportunity for all to take for granted.
Andreas Schockenhoff�who is to visit Tehran believes that Geneva deal provided all with an opportunity to reduce the tensions in the region. He will travel to Tehran January 6-10 in a five-day visit to Iranian government officials including deputy-FM and Parliamentarians.

Schockenhoff told IRNA correspondent in Berlin that his focus of attention in discussions with Iranian officials would be Geneva deal. He also would address an expert session in a Foreign Ministry-affiliated research center in Tehran as part of the visit.

�We also will agree on the deadline set for implementation of the Joint Plan of Action,� he added. �The important issue is that now we have found an opportunity in Geneva deal to work out a deal in Iran�s nuclear program on which the west has invested much hope, and as far as I know, it satisfied Iran as well,� Schockenhoff added.

�It is very important for us to use the window of opportunity provided by the Geneva deal to reduce tensions in the region,� he said, and that �the initial agreement in Geneva is the first important step to find a final solution for the Iran nuclear issues and normalizing the relations with the country, however, much should be done to that stage yet.�

This legislator reminded that if Iran cooperated with the Powers, all western sanctions would be eliminated. �weapons-degree nuclear program fuels the nuclear contest in the region, and would engage Saudi Arabia, which would ultimately destabilize the whole region and the world,� he said.

�If Iran and Powers work out a comprehensive plan in the set deadline, hopes would be invested on the d�tente between Germany and Iran, and I would say that Berlin is highly interested in entente with Tehran,� he added.

About Syrian crisis, Schockenhoff said that Iran and Germany developed naturally different positions and that � for example, Qatar and Saudi Arabia support the rebels and Iran and Hezbollah support Assad, which is the source of difference in positions, which is of course negotiable.�

�In Syria, we need a solution originated from inside Syria, not developed by foreigners and negotiable solutions should bring accord among all opposition groups and the government of Syria, and cut the foreign interventions as much as possible,� he said.
