The 17th edition of Fajr International Film Market is slated to be held in the Iranian capital city of Tehran on the sidelines of this year’s Fajr International Film Festival.
Over 30 countries have announced they will attend this year’s international film market, said the film market secretary Vahid Esfandiari.
“At this year’s market we tried to focus on the film companies and distributors that have not attended the Iranian film markets yet,” he noted.
The market is to host film distributors, international cinema publishing companies, various broadcasting channels and Medias.
Numerous international representatives from various countries have participated in the previous editions of the market so far.
Filmiran Distributor Company, Visual Media Institute, Farabi Cinema Foundation, and the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults are among the participated Iranian companies at the 2014 edition of the market.
Iran’s Fajr International Film Market is one of the biggest events of its kind in the Middle East and a unique opportunity for filmmakers, producers and writers to meet, discover trade, negotiate, buy, and sell cinematic productions.
The 17th Fajr Film Market is scheduled to be held in Tehran’s Milad Tower, concurrently with the 32nd Fajr International Film Festival in February, 2014.
