Israeli forces injure three Palestinians in al-Khalil

Three Palestinian workers have been injured in an attack by Israeli soldiers near the occupied West Bank city of al-Khalil (Hebron), medics say.
The incident took place near the apartheid separation wall in the Ramadeen village, south of al-Khalil, on Friday when the workers were returning home from work.

The injured have been taken to a hospital in the city after suffering fractures and bruises to various parts of their bodies, International Middle East Media Center reported on its website.

Mohammad al-Arawna, head of the Media Department of the Palestinian Workers Syndicate, condemned the attack.

The union lodged a complaint with the International Workers Association, asking it to intervene, investigate the ongoing Israeli violations against the workers, and to hold Israel accountable to its crimes, Arawna said.

He noted that Palestinian workers often come under Israeli attacks in the occupied land.

In another incident, heavily-armed Israeli soldiers raided the occupied West Bank village of Nabi Saleh on Friday afternoon, targeting houses and unarmed demonstrators with tear gas, rubber-coated metal bullets and sound bombs.

Several people were shot and injured by the Israeli forces, including two journalists and a woman.

On Thursday, Israeli forces also attacked several Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank, arresting at least nine people.

Israeli forces launch incursions into the West Bank on an almost daily basis, regularly attacking houses in the occupied Palestinian territories and arresting activists and civilians mostly without any charges.

According to Palestinian rights groups, over a dozen Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces in the first half of 2013. Israeli troops also seized nearly 1,800 Palestinians, including women and children, during the same period.
