Tehran, Dec 22, IRNA Chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said that the upcoming meeting of parliament speakers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Tehran will provide an opportunity to deal with the Islamic worlds problems.According to Majlis News and Mass Media Bureau, Boroujerdi made the remarks in a coordination session with Tehran-based ambassadors of the Muslim states on the upcoming event.
Boroujerdi, also head of the secretariat for organizing the meeting, added that the event is a suitable chance for examining the problems facing the Islamic world.
Majlis will use all its capacities to hold the event in the best manner, he noted.
For the time being, Islamic world is more in need of exchanging views and unity and upcoming meeting in Tehran will seek to review Muslims problems, develop further proximity among the OIC member states, promote and strengthen cooperation among them and initiate regular consultation among parliaments of OIC member states, Boroujerdi said.
The 9th meeting of parliament speakers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation will be held in Tehran on February 18-19 under presidency of Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani.
