Syrian army crushes more militants' dens

TEHRAN (FNA)- Syrian Army units on Sunday crushed several gatherings and dens of militant groups in a series of special operations, leaving scores of the militants dead and wounded.


Numbers of militants' dens razed in Aleppo

A number of special operations were carried out against militant groups in the villages and towns of Hreitan, Hayyan, Daret Izzeh, al-Zarzour, Bianoun, al-Mislmiyeh, Khan al-Assal, Hilan and Mayer and in the surrounding of the Central Prison in Aleppo, according to a military source.

SANA quoted the source as saying that many of the militant groups were wholly eliminated in the operations.

Army units killed scores of militants and injured others in Orum al-Kubra, while other units destroyed militants' cars loaded with weapons and ammunition in Handarat, the Industrial Area and al-Mansoura and on al-Kastillo road.

Meanwhile, clashes erupted between an army unit and a militant group that tried to attack the Carlton Hotel in the old city of Aleppo. Most of the militant group's members were killed.

In Aleppo city, a number of gatherings and dens for militant groups were targeted in the neighborhoods of al-Shaar, Hanano, al-Jazmati, al-Jandoul, al-Sheikh S'eed, Bani Zeid and al-Ansari. Scores of militants were killed and others were wounded.
