Tehran, Dec 21, IRNA � International Conference on Syria will bear no fruit without Iran presence, Deputy Chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Parliamentary Commission Mansour Haqiqatpour said on Saturday.

Speaking to IRNA, he said the US considers the Islamic Republic of Iran as its serious rival and believes that in presence of Iran it can not attain its goals in Syria.


Iran does not need to be invited to the Conference on Syria and the Americans and the western governments well know that without Iran?s presence it is impossible to bring to an end the deteriorating humanitarian crisis in Syria.

Iran fully backs Syrian people according to its principled policy and believes that the humanitarian crisis in Syria should be resolved through political means and through democratic election, he said.
