Iran ready for full industrial cooperation with Venezuela: minister

Tehran, Dec 21, IRNA Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh said that Iran is fully prepared to cooperate with Venezuela in various fields such as oil, gas, petrochemical and housing fields.

In a meeting with the Venezuelan Ambassador to Iran Amenhotep Zambrano, he said that a tractor manufacturing unit as well as an auto-making factory have been set up in Venezuela, and 10,000 residential units have been built and 10,000 others are currently being completed by the Iranian contractors.


Referring to the upcoming Venezuela visit by the head of Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation (IMIDRO), he called for accelerating implementation of the projects.

Zambrano, for his part, voiced the Venezuelan interest in Iranian companies to take part in the Venezuelan different projects and said that currently 35,000 Venezuelans have earlier applied for Iranian automobiles.

?We favor export of Iran-made cars and cement products to our country,? he said.

The envoy said that Venezuela needs to increase tractor production.
