TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran's steel production totaled 14, 071, 000 tons in the 11 months of the current year, rising 6 percent comparing to the same period last year.
Based on a report released by WSA, Iran's steel production rose by 17 percent comparing to similar period in 2011.
Also Iran's steel production rose by 12.5 percent in November comparing to similar period last year totaling 1,375,000 tons.
Iran's main steel mills are located in Isfahan and Khuzestan provinces.
Among 62 world major steel producers, Iran jumped two steps higher and became the world's 15th steel producer in 2012. Iran ranked above UK, Spain and Canada.
