Iranian economic delegation upbeat with outcome of visit to Baku

Baku, Dec 21, IRNA - Head of Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture Yahya al-Eshagh who led the economic delegation to Baku said on Saturday that results of talks with Azeri businessmen and economic officials were very promising.

Speaking to IRNA, he said expansion of economic cooperation with the neighboring states mainly the Islamic countries is on agenda of Iranian government.


Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture is to exchange views with other countries in order to broaden the scope of business and trade cooperation with them, he said.

He described the visit of the Iranian economic delegation to Azerbaijan as one of the most successful business trip to neighboring sates.

He said that Iranian economic delegation consisted of experts in oil, gas, petrochemical fields as well as economic development projects and construction, health, textile and food industries, machinery, wood and paper.

Having historical, cultural and religious affinities prepared the ground for expansion of ties and relations between the two nations.

The Iranian and Azeri officials are determined to further broaden and bolster all-out cooperation between the two countries, he said.

Some 30 businessmen and industrialists are currently on a visit to Azerbaijan.
