Iran reacts to opposition of Israel, US, Canada to Irans WAVE bid

New York, Dec 21, IRNA Irans Permanent Representative at the UN Mohammad Khazaee strongly reacted to the remarks of the Zionist regime, Canada and the US against Irans approved proposal initiated by President Hassan Rouhani against violence and extremism.
?In that session the Zionist regimes representative first made harsh remarks against Irans proposal and I gave appropriate response to him, Khazaee said.

The representatives of the US and Canada also lodged accusations against Iran and blatantly expressed their dissatisfaction about international communitys affirmation of Irans proposal, he added.

Khazaee said that the discontent of some countries from approval of Irans proposal is assessed as their opposition to Islamic Republics success in the international arena.

Iran offered to host an international conference on a UN resolution which was recently adopted based on President Hassan Rouhanis initiative World against Violence and Extremism (WAVE) proposal.

The UN General Assembly on Wednesday overwhelmingly voted to approve President Rouhanis proposal, which call on all nations across the globe to denounce violence and extremism.

Rouhani made the proposal in an address to the UN Disarmament Conference in New York on September 25.
