Tehran, Dec 19, IRNA – Former Italian prime minister Masimo DˈAlema met with Iranˈs Deputy Foreign Minister for Europe and America Affairs Majid Takht-e-Ravanchi.
According to the Foreign Ministry website on Wednesday evening, the former Italian prime minister who also served as the foreign minister referred to Iranˈs pivotal role in the Middle East and said it could be a strategic partner for Europe in the region.
He said that Europe favoured an imminent and prompt settlement of Iranˈs nuclear issue.
Ravanchi called the recent Geneva deal as an agreement the implementation of which called for mutual will.
He said settlement of nuclear issue was a major priority for Iran.
He said the USA and Europe should be careful about war mongering sides who want to deviate the talks.
