Zarif: Iran to withdraw from Geneva deal in case West violates

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif warned that Iran would withdraw from Geneva deal if the West refuses to comply with its commitments.


"The westerns understand that they should treat Iran respectfully and whenever we feel that the promise is break, our plan is designed in a way that we can go back to the beginning point and it does not need much time," he told in a televised speech.

"The US presence behind the table of talks shows that it has accepted Iranian enrichment program as a reality."

He further added Zionist regime is resorting to lies to bring into deadlock Iranian nuclear achievements because it feels that it has lost all of its endeavors over last years.

The US is concerned about internal pressures inside the country against Iran, he said, adding American nation has come to understand that diplomatic strategies is the best way to settle Iranian nuclear issue.

Iranian Foreign Minister noted the upcoming talks between Iran and the G5+1 will focus on the final deal and would be more difficult than previous rounds of negations.

He added Iran will hit back in case Geneva deal is violated.

Elsewhere, regarding Syria, he said the UN Secretary General BanKi-moon in a phone call with him stressed Iran's participation in Geneva II meeting.

Zarif further added that the world knows that global issues will not be settled without Iran's participation.
