TEHRAN (FNA)- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stressed that foreign support to the terrorist groups in Syria is one of the causes of the terrorist massacres committed by these groups in Adra city in Damascus countryside, calling on the US and some EU countries to discontinue their support for armed groups in Syria.


At a press conference in Brussels following his meeting with foreign ministers of the European Union, Lavrov said that the massacres committed in Adra city are real crimes as entire families were slaughtered because they rejected the schemes of al-Nusra Front, adding that this is not the first nor the only crime that took place, Syrian Arab News Agency reported Monday.

He pointed out that the Human Rights Watch registered brutal crimes committed by terrorist organizations which have recently joined the so-called "the Islamic Front" which declared radical goals.

He reiterated that only the Syrians can solve their own issues, adding that Russia will help the Syrians hold comprehensive Syrian dialogue.

Lavrov expressed Russia's readiness to offer its warships to ensure the transportation of the Syrian chemical weapons.
