Tehran, Dec 17, IRNA – Former Italian prime minister Massimo DˈAlema arrived here Tuesday morning to address a conference at the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday.
DˈAlema was prime minister of Italy from 1998-2000
He is to address a conference at the Foreign Ministry Educational and Research Center on December 18.
DˈAlema is visiting Iran few days before Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Emma Bonino begins her visit to the Iranian capital.
Bonino is to arrive here for a two-day visit Saturday. Her visit is taking place at the official invitation of her Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif.
Bonino is the first Italian foreign minister visiting Iran in the past decade.
