P5+1 urged to clear lines with discordant member

Tehran, Dec 16, IRNA Senior member of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) Monday urged members of the Group 5+1 to clear their lines with their discordant member (the US) on dealing with Iran.
Criticizing US recent move against Iran, Rapporteur of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Hossein Naqavi Hosseini told IRNA that US new anti-Iran move is clearly against the Geneva deal and allows Iran to leave its commitments consequently.

Iran and the world sextet (US, Russia, France, Britain and China plus Germany) reached a first step nuclear deal in Geneva on November 24 upon which no new sanctions should be imposed on Iran within the next six months.

Meanwhile, the US Treasury Department on December 12 blacklisted additional companies and people to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear technology.

Analysts and some foreign officials believe that the anti-Iran move is a serious threat to Iran-5+1 nuclear deal.

The move indicates that US is not committed to the deal,? Hosseini stressed.

Noting that all signatories to the Geneva deal should act based on their commitments, the MP said, If they were not able to act with coordination, then why they took part in the talks?

Referring to US as a deal-breaking, hegemonic and untrust-worthy country, the MP said Washington is pursuing a double standard policy towards Iran.
