Tehran, Dec 16, IRNA � Iran won two bronze medals of the sabre and epee categories of the 11th Class A Junior Fencing World Cup Championship, held in Tehran from Saturday to Sunday.

Iran and Kazakhstan jointly took the third position in sabre after Turkey and Azerbaijan. Iran won one bronze medal in sabre. Forty fencers from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Denmark, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Turkey and Iran were competing in the event.


In the epee event, 64 fencers from Iran, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarussia, Denmark, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Qatar and Turkey competed. Belarussia and Austria gained gold and silver medals, while Iran?s Mohammad Shojaie and Turkey?s fencer jointly finished third, winning a bronze medal each.
