Senior MP slams US anti-Iran move

Tehran, Dec 15, IRNA – A senior lawmaker Sunday stressed that the US Treasury move to impose further sanctions on Iran once again proved that Washington is untrustworthy.

Mansour Haqiqatpour, Vice-Chairman of Majlisˈ National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, made the remarks while talking to IRNA.

The US Treasury Department on Thursday blacklisted additional companies and people to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear technology.

Analysts and some foreign officials believe that this anti-Iran move is a serious threat to Iran-5+1 nuclear deal reached recently in Geneva.

Such anti-Iran moves prove that the US officials are not faithful and do not keep their promises, said Haqiqatpour.

He further stressed that the new sanctions will certainly have negative impact on the Geneva agreement.

The US blacklisted additional companies and people while according to the Geneva deal the 5+1 was committed not only to impose no further sanctions on Iran but also to lift parts of the restrictions.
