In the match held at the Quijote Arena in Ciudad Real, Spain, on Saturday, the Iranian futsal team defeated Malaysia 11-0 in Group B.
Iran has been grouped along with Brazil, Malaysia, Russia and Ukraine in the group.
Group A consists of host Spain, Portugal, Japan and Costa Rica.
The top two teams from each group will advance to semifinals.
