Iran dispatches doctors to neighboring, African countries

Semnan prov, Dec 12, IRNA Iran have been dispatching Basiji (volunteer) doctors to its neighboring states and a number of African countries to provide them with medical services, it was reported on Wednesday.
Head of the Basij Organization of Iran?s Medical Society Mohammad Raeeszadeh told IRNA in this provincial capital city that so far, some 14 teams of Basiji doctors have been dispatched to Pakistan, Somalia, Ghana, Kenya and Iraq.

Raeeszadeh added that more teams are to be sent to Ethiopia and Mali in a near future to provide similar services.

He went on to say that presently, some 91,000 doctors are members of the Basij Organization of Iran?s Medical Society.
