Collective effort to save two leopard cubs in Iran

Collective effort to save two leopard cubs in Iran
TEHRAN, Dec. 10 (MNA) The manager of Animal Rights Watch has said a campaign has been seeking two cubs of a leopard.
Shahram Amiri Sharifi told Mehr News that a number of animal lovers had volunteered to participate on a search for two cubs of a leopard killed in an automobile accident in Sefidkooh protected area near Khorramabad. So far, 11 people have volunteered for searching the Zagros heights for two cubs, he added.

Examination of the leopard by the environmental protector workers indicated that the leopard was in gestation and that she would have two cubs, and given that the leopard was killed within 24 hours, her cubs would be still alive, he explained. The cubs would not be in gestation, but hunger could lure them out of their safe retreat and expose them to dangers such as strayed dogs, chuckles, and wolves, Sharifi said.

The manager of Animal Rights Watch also said that it was possible that the cubs to have died of hunger at most by 48 hours, raising the toll to 9 leopards the current year. We call all animal and environment lovers volunteered to participate in search for cubs for informing us about their willingness by 7 AM tomorrow, or contact +989123373290, he said, and that the volunteers would be set off to the region by 10 AM tomorrow.
