Afkham: Removal of all sanctions, final phase of talks

Tehran, Dec 10, IRNA Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham said based on Irans proposed plan the final achievement of the nuclear talks should be the removal of all sanctions including the ones by the United Nations Security Council.
She made the remarks here Tuesday morning while talking to domestic and foreign journalists during her weekly press briefing.

Stressing that the sanctions are unfair and unjustifiable, she noted that Irans position towards the sanctions is quite clear.

A reporter referred to western media claims that 90 percent of the procedure of the new anti-Iran sanctions by the US Congress has already been completed and asked her to comment on the future of the Geneva deal and its implementation phases.

Afkham said based on the content of the negotiations and the resultant agreement Iran believes that the structure of the sanctions has been fractured.

Commenting on the recent remarks of some US senior officials on Iran, she said Tehran is closely monitoring their statements since some are trying to turn the present procedure into the conflict of interests.
