Montenegrin president, Iranian envoy discuss issuse of interest
Belgrade, Dec 7, IRNA Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic and Iran?s accredited Ambassador Majid Fahimpour discussed issues of mutual interest on Friday.
In the meeting, the ambassador submitted his credentials to the Montenegrin president.

Fahimpour is Iran?s ambassador to Serbia and also accredited envoy to Montenegro.

President Vujanovic told the ambassador that Geneva talks on Iran?s nuclear program were encouraging, adding that it is expected the talks lead to providing interests of the international community and Iran.

According to Iran?s embassy in Belgrade, President Vujanovic expressed his country?s readiness for bilateral cooperation in economic, commerce, tourism and cultural fields.

He underlined that Montenegrin ports and shipping, with their facilities, can help develop relations between the two countries.

The new accredited ambassador of Iran, by conveying greetings of President Rohani to his Montenegrin counterpart, called Geneva agreement as a proof of Iran?s peaceful nuclear program.

He also explained Iran?s policy concerning expansion of friendly relations with countries of the Balkan region.

Fahimpour called economy, energy, transportation, culture and tourism as important existing capacities in mutual relations between Tehran and Podgorica and expressed Iran?s interest to develop ties with Montenegro.
