Tehran, Dec 4, IRNA – An Iranian photographer bagged the gold medal of Slovenia photography festival for taking a photo from unique bird species exposed to extinction.
He was honored for his special attention to the environment and drawing attention of the public to a common need to protect the environment.
The rare species of the bird called ˈChirakˈ in local language or ˈmish morghˈ lives at a habitat in Bukan, West Azarbaijan province, where the photographer lives.
Meanwhile, photographers from 40 countries participated in the festival.
