Culture minister meets Iraq Journalists Syndicate chief

Tehran, Dec 5, IRNA Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannatiheld talks Thursday with visiting Head of Iraqi Journalists? Syndicate Muayad al-Lami.
The talks focused on ways to expand media cooperation between the two.

Managing Director of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) Mohammad Khoddadi, who was present in the meeting, said the Iraqi media delegation visited IRNA on Wednesday.

Khoddadi said IRNA and the Iraqi delegation have reached agreement on exchange of news.

IRNA will dispatch a number of reporters to Iraq in next two months to cover developments in that country and reflect the realities there, Khoddadi said based on the agreement.

The Iraqi delegation, arrived in Iran two days ago, will travel to the central province of Qom later today and will return home on Friday.

Meanwhile, Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki arrived here on Wednesday to hold talks with top Iranian officials on issues of mutual interest.
