Envoy: Inefficiency of sanctions better proved in Geneva deal

Berlin, Dec 2, IRNA Sanctions, despite the problems they created, could not block the path for merchants trade, and proof for their inefficiency was the deal between Iran and six world power in Geneva, said Irans ambassador to Hague Sunday evening.
The sanctions policy was defeated in advance, and their inefficiency was further proved in Geneva nuclear talks, said Kazem Gharibabadi addressing the 2nd Joint Conference of Iranian and Dutch Merchants.

The Iranian ambassador said that Iran continues its peaceful nuclear program while observing the Geneva deal and its uranium enrichment, expressing regret that some politicians and governments had politicized business and took advantage of sanctions as a political tool aimed at achieving their foreign policy objectives.

That was while imposing sanctions was against the international norms and the humanitarian rights, and also to the loss of the companies, while their inefficiency, too has been proved, he said.

Gharibabadi also advised the Dutch merchants to take full advantage of the emerged opportunities aimed at expansion of their business relations with Iran.

He meanwhile said that despite the existing conditions, Iran-Holland trade relations had continued well and Holland was Irans 3rd European economic partner.

The Iranian ambassador also referred to the high potentials of the Iranians residing in Holland and appreciated their efforts aimed at expansion of the two countries trade ties.

The two countries merchants expressed their viewpoints in the conference then.
