Turkish official: Legitimacy of Iran's N. program endorsed by west

TEHRAN (FNA)- The last week deal signed by Iran and the world powers meant an endorsement of the legitimacy of Irans peaceful nuclear program, a parliament member from Turkey's Republican People's Party said Sunday.

Ali Ozgunduz described Irans diplomatic victory during the recent Geneva talks as an achievement to defend Tehrans international rights.

Asked about the effects of the nuclear deal between Iran and the Group 5+1(the five permanent UN Security Council members plus Germany) on Tehran-Ankara relations, Ozgunduz said it will surely have positive impacts on bilateral ties and regional equations, the Islamic republic news agency reported.

As a result of unfair sanctions, Iran could not make use of all its existing potentials, he regretted, adding that after removing the sanctions, Tehran can soon enter the global trade and economic scenes.

Iran and the G5+1reached a final deal on November 24 in Geneva after days of hard work and intensive negotiations.

After endorsing the agreement with the world powers, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif underlined that the six world powers have recognized Irans enrichment program.

As part of the deal, in exchange for Irans confidence-building bid to limit certain aspects of its nuclear activities, the six world powers agreed to lift some of the existing sanctions against Tehran.
