TEHRAN (FNA)- Chairman of the Turkey-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group Osman Ask?n Bakdescribed Iran's newly signed nuclear deal with the six major world powers as valuable, saying it can promote interaction among the regional states.Ask?n Bak underlined that the deal would create a positive and diverse atmosphere in regional interactions and would also serve the interests of Iran and Turkey.
Reiterating the support of Turkish officials for Irans peaceful nuclear program, he said, the first step nuclear deal between Iran and Group 5+1(the five permanent UN Security Council members plus Germany) has once more proved that Ankara was right in its support for Tehran, the Islamic republic news agency reported.
Iran and the Group 5+1reached a final deal on November 24 after days of hard work and intensive negotiations.
Earlier this week, a parliamentary delegation headed by Chairman of Iran-Turkey Parliamentary Friendship Group Moayed Hosseini traveled to Turkey at the invitation of his counterpart Askin Bak.
The Iranian lawmakers held separate meetings with the Turkish political and parliamentary officials to expand bilateral ties between the two states.
Lawmakers Shahrouz Afkhami, Mohammad Hassannejad, Abed Fattahi, Mir Hadi Qara Seyed Roumiani and Ali Akbar Aqayee were other members of the Iranian delegation who accompanied Hosseini during the trip.
Both Iran and Turkey have broadened their relations in various fields of economy, security, trade, education, energy and culture in recent years.
The two sides have exchanged several politico-economic delegations during the last few months.
Turkey imports more than 90 percent of its oil and gas.
Iran and Turkey are determined to boost their trade exchanges to $35bln in the near future.
