Several militants operating in Syria[/caption]TEHRAN (FNA)- Syrian army units on Saturday carried out operations against militants, eliminating armed militant groups in several areas around the country.
Dozens of militants killed, infiltration attempts foiled in Aleppo
Army units killed militants attempting to infiltrate from al-Sayyed Ali area to neighboring areas, destroying their dens, gatherings, missile launchers and cars loaded with weapons and ammunition in several villages and towns in Aleppo and its countryside, SANA reported.
Amilitary source said that army units eliminated armed militant groups in al-Sheikh Saed, Khan Toman, al-Rashidin al-Rabia areas, and destroyed missile launchers used by militants to target residents in the neighboring villages to the towns of al-Jdeideh and Erbid where they placed the launchers.
The source added that militants' gatherings were eliminated in the surrounding areas to al-Kindi Hospital, Kafar Hamra, al-Dweihi, al-Mansoura, Andan and Masaken Hanano.
Other army units destroyed cars loaded with weapons and ammunition and militants in Arom, the surrounding area of the Central Prison and on Aleppo-Idlib highway.
In Aleppo city, an army unit foiled an armed militant group's attempt to infiltrate from al-Sayyed Ali area into safe neighborhoods, killing all of its members.
Armed militant groups eliminated in Idlib
The source said that an army unit confronted armed militant groups that attempted to infiltrate from Ma'arshemsheh and attack a military checkpoint in Wadi al-Daif in Idlib countryside, inflicting heavy losses upon the militants.
The source pointed out that militants' gatherings were destroyed in villages and towns of Jidar Bakfaloun, Mafraq al-Rweihiyeh, Serjeh and the surrounding areas of al-Arba'in Mounting, where many militants were killed and others were injured.
On the other hand, SANA reporter said that two armed militant groups clashed in Khan Shaikhoun city, as many militants were killed and others were injured, adding that the militants Abdo Hibbo, an armed militant group leader, and Mohammad Shueib were among the dead.
Dozens of militants killed in Lattakia
Army units killed members of armed militant groups in Lattakia countryside and destroyed cars laden with ammunition and Grad missiles.
The news agency said that the terrorists Hashed al-Rumaihi from Qatar, Abdul-Rahman al-Dasher from Yemen, Adu Khaldoun al-Shishani, Abu Khaled al-Shishani, Othman al-Debis and Adu Samer al-Laziqani were identified among the dead.
