Israel sends security delegation to Jordan after Iran deal

Israel has reportedly sent a security delegation to Jordan for secret talks over regional issues including therecent nuclear deal between Iran and a group of six world powers as well as the ongoing crisis in Syria.
According to Israels Channel 10, the delegation headed by national security adviser Yossi Cohen visited Jordan on November 27, three days after the nuclear deal was reached between Iran and the Sextet in Geneva, Switzerland.

The report added that the crisis in Syria was also discussed during the visit because of the common concerns between Israel and Jordan in this regard.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that he would also send Cohen to the US in the coming days to discuss the Iranian nuclear agreement.

Netanyahu has already called the accord a historic mistake.

However, US President Barack Obama has defended the nuclear agreement with Iran, pushing back against rising criticism from Israel and the Congress.

Israeli is widely believed to be the only possessor of nuclear weapons in the Middle East.
